Nearly 75% of companies are suffering
from a lack of skilled workers, which is
an increase of 26% over the last 6
months, according to a recent survey.
The shortage, which has been evident for
some time, seems to be worsening in
spite of Government efforts to reduce
the shortfall.
The survey was
conducted on 550 organisations from
different areas of the country and
revealed that companies of all sizes
were suffering from the lack of skilled
workers.
Those employers affected by the
shortage were; 80% of organisations
employing more than 5000, 75% of
organisations with 501-1000 employees,
and 68% of companies employing less than
100 people
